“What if you couldn’t just look at history, but actually have a conversation with it?”

At Fine Tune Audio, we believe that sound has the power to truly connect people with art, heritage, and stories. That’s why we’re developing new experiments and products at the intersection of sound, AI, and art experience. Where an audio tour used to be a one-way experience, we’re now making it possible for visitors to actually have a conversation with art and heritage.

Interactive audio tours that listen and talk back

With our interactive audio tours, museum visitors can not only look and listen, but also talk with artworks, artists, or historical figures. These tours add an extra layer of meaning, emotion, and personal connection — as if you could travel through time for a moment.

We’ve already applied this technology successfully in projects for Sense of Place and Landgoed Fraeylemaborg, where visitors experienced a completely new way of listening and learning.

The magic lies in the combination of sound, knowledge, and AI. We build a knowledge base with carefully curated information, paired with a voice clone from our studio that perfectly matches the project’s atmosphere. This voice is then connected to a Large Language Model (LLM) — an AI that understands, responds, and asks questions, as if you were having a real conversation.

The result? An audio tour that doesn’t just tell, but engages, surprises, and connects.

Technology that connects, not replaces.

Our goal is not to replace human guides or voices, but to create new forms of engagement. The power of sound and language helps visitors rediscover art, nature, and heritage in a personal and interactive way.

With this technology, we especially aim to let younger generations experience just how special museums and cultural sites can be. Through playful interaction, humor, and meaningful conversations, an experience emerges that goes far beyond listening alone.

This is how we build an interactive audio tour

1. Train on your collection

Every interactive tour begins with a solid content foundation. We train the AI on your collection — from artists, periods, and movements to location information and curator texts. Labels and wall texts are also integrated. This ensures that the agent’s answers are always based on reliable, in-house sources.

2. Optimize the knowledge base

We normalize formats, remove duplicates, link related themes, and index content for fast and accurate responses. This makes every conversation with the AI feel immediate, relevant, and consistent across all rooms.

Choose the voice

Select a premium voice from our studio or have us model a specific voice actor that matches your museum’s identity. Whether it’s a curator, a historical figure, or a warm storytelling voice, we can fully adjust tone, pace, and clarity to fit the desired experience.

3. Add playfulness

Together, we design mini-games and quests that engage visitors during their tour. Think “find this motif,” “recognize the technique,” or “compare two works.” Light gamification engages children and families without distracting from the art itself.

4.Stay on task

Our guardrails ensure the AI stays focused. The agent responds only to defined sources, using a tone of voice that fits your brand and collection. This keeps conversations safe, reliable, and consistent with your museum’s voice.

5. Pilot, learn, scale

We start with a pilot in a single room. By collecting feedback and data  such as satisfaction, interaction time, and frequently asked questions, we improve the experience step by step. Once the concept is proven, we roll it out to more rooms, languages, and devices.

Making the future audible together.

Fine Tune Audio focuses on conversational AI as a new dimension in storytelling. We aim to help museums, artists, and heritage institutions not just tell stories, but make them speak. Literally.
